Taiwan's extended drought finally meets the sweet rain. As water restrictions have been gradually loosened in some counties, the Kaohsiung and Pingtung County Governments resume water supply to car wash providers. Thus, from 1st to 10th June, the TSC gas stations in these two areas launch car wash half-price promotion to reward customers. For other gas stations still in water-stressed areas, once the local authorities ease water cuts, 10-day half-price car wash promotion will be conducted accordingly, hoping to get more drivers to TSC for gas refilling and car washing service.
"Taiwan has long been suffering from water scarcity." TSC points out. "Before local governments applied water curbs, TSC gas stations had spontaneously closed down car wash service to conserve water resources for household use." As the drought has been mitigated, TSC resumes this service. "The water rationing causes inconvenience to everyday life," said Mr. Xu, the CEO of TSC Petroleum Business Division. "However, it is fortunate we all stand side by side, conserve water, and then finally get long-awaited rain to alleviate drought conditions. We rode out this water crisis together." To thank and reward customers for their water-saving efforts, TSC offers car wash service at half price. This campaign lasts for 10 days to show TSC's appreciation for customer support and loyalty.
"The campaign is first held in Kaohsiung and Pingtung areas," TSC gas station explained. "However, the service in the Boxue station in Xiaogang Dist., Kaohsiung is outsourced, so it is excluded from the promotion. The exclusion also applies to the Fenghuang station in Dali Dist., Taichung (even when the local water restrictions is eliminated.), and all the gas stations in the eastern Taiwan region."
"Although drought conditions have improved, it is still needed to cherish water resources and to practice water-saving habits in everyday life," TSC made a public appeal, adding that only when we work together to prevent water shortage does TSC have chance to continually offer quality car wash service.
While TSC marks its 75th anniversary this year, the Petroleum Business Division carries out a promotion that before 30th June, APP members can earn 5 times reward points every day; moreover, many quality TSC products, such as Taisugar Fructo-oligosaccharide and Lactic Acid Bacteria and Taisugar Essence of Clam which are nationally accredited health foods, can be exchanged through fewer points.
