TSC promoting agrivoltaic while keeping communication open, aiming for pursuing the best use of the farmland

2020-03-04
In respect of solar agrivoltaic development, TSC explains planning agrivoltaic farming aims to revert the farmland from afforestation back to agricultural uses; moreover, constructing solar energy facilities on the farmland is able to reach the development goal of agriculture, green energy and land-value maximization. TSC insists on the four basic principles:

1. The farmland is reverted from afforestation back to agricultural uses. The core concept of proposing agrivoltaic projects is primarily based on agricultural development, supplemented by green energy to increase overall land use value.

2. The designated zones for agrivoltaic systems will exclude environmentally vulnerable areas and the solar installations will not destruct local landscapes and ecology.

3. The company follows the "Regulations for Examining the Application of Structuring Farming Facilities on Agricultural Land" to map out the projects, such as the facilities not allowed to exceed 40% of the farmland, in order to ensure crops to grow under proper growing conditions.

4. TSC keeps communication as open as possible and humbly accepts suggestions from various sectors of society. All the comments and suggestions will be taken into account in project assessment and planning.

“The agrivoltaic farming projects are still in the planning phase,” TSC pointed out, adding that all the comments and suggestions are welcome. The company keeps open and sincere communication with people from all sectors of society and hopes to better land utilization which aims for achieving a win-win (both agriculture and green energy) goal.
