Compliance
TSC products must comply with local regulations and customer requirements, including Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation, Health Food Control Act, Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, Food Administration Act, Organic Agricultural Product and Organic Agricultural Processed Product Certification Management Regulations. In 2024, there were no social and economic violations of product health and safety, service information and labeling, marketing communications and voluntary codes. However, there were 21 instances of fines ranging from NTD 500 to NTD 600,000 for environmental, food labeling, and occupational safety incidents.
Note: Regarding the definition of material fines related to company operations were given in accordance with Chapter II Material Information, Article 4, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 26, Item C of Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation Procedures for Verification and Disclosure of Material Information of Companies with Listed Securities dated on December 16, 2024, where the administrative fines for one single event have accumulated to NTD 1 million or more.

Customer Privacy
Taiwan Sugar Corporation has formulated the "Taiwan Sugar Corporation Management Points for Personal Data Protection ", established a "Personal Data Protection Promotion and Implementation Team", and compiled " Manual for Personal Data Protection" in accordance with the "Personal Data Protection Act", "Personal Data Protection Act Enforcement Rules" and "Taiwan Sugar Corporation Management Points for Personal Data Protection". In 2023, the " Management Points for Personal Data Protection" Operation Form 9.1 Supervision Report Record Form was revised to add a reporting mechanism within 24 hours of receiving a report or becoming aware of a major personal data leakage case, in order to improve the effectiveness of the management of negative impacts related to customer privacy.
To prevent personal data from being stolen, altered, damaged, lost or leaked, on April 15, 2024, a circular was issued to each unit in accordance with the provisions of 7.4.2 of the "Taiwan Sugar Corporation Management Points for Personal Data Protection" to designate a personal data file security maintenance person to handle the maintenance of personal data file security; and it is stipulated that each unit shall regularly conduct personal data file inventory operations, perform audit operations based on the "Personal Data Security Audit Checklist" and other personal data file security maintenance measures on a yearly basis. In addition, in January 2024, a coordinated training "Personal Data File Security Audit Practice " was held, in March, personnel were sent to participate in the "2024 Personal Data Protection Education and Training for Supervisory Personnel in the Industry" of the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and in July, the "2024 TSC Personal Data Protection Implementation Group Meeting" was held.
To help strengthen the personal data security awareness of the supply chain and improve personal data security management measures, the “Personal Data Protection Contract Clauses (contract template)" of Taiwan Sugar Corporation was revised in 2023 for reference when various units inside and outside the company sign contracts with manufacturers involving personal data protection items. In July 2024, assistance was provided to the Product Marketing Division and the Secretariat, followed by the Planning Division in August and the Product Marketing Division again in December, in conducting on-site personal data protection audits of outsourced vendors. A total of four vendors were audited, and all audit results complied with the Company's Personal Data Protection Guidelines. In 2024, the company did not experience any incidents of customer privacy infringement or loss of customer data.
