2023 Sustainable Management Performance

TSC’s Featured Performance

  •  Stabilized the commodity prices, the retail price of sugar remained at NTD 36/kg, and retail price of soybean oil (3L) remained at NTD 169.
  •  Stabilized the hog prices and allocated 14,137 pigs in total for supply and demands.
  •  The area for afforestation and tending has amounted to 11,541 hectares in total, absorbing approximately 128,600 tonnes of CO2e.
  •  Promoted organic agriculture and farming, and provided the government with land for lease to set up organic agricultural zones of an area of 312 hectares; other agricultural land was leased for organic crops, with an area of 1032.29 hectares.

-E- Environmental Aspect-

  •  Made use of residual bagasse for power generation for self-use, and the total power generated in 2023 totaled 11.0618 million kWh.
  •  Made use of pig manure and urine for biogas energy production, and the total power generated amounted to 903.7 thousand kWh.
  •  The cumulative installation of solar photovoltaic facilities has reached 542.39 MW, including 15.83 MW of rooftop equipment, 99.95 MW of floating PV energy generation equipment (detention ponds), 426.61 MW of ground-mounted (including low-fertility agricultural land).
  •  Implemented power and energy conservation, and the total energy saved at TSC in 2023 was approximated 19,751 GJ, reducing approximately 1,445 tonnes of CO2e.
  •  A total of 546 sessions of green meetings were held, reducing 39.33 tonnes of CO2e.
  •  The total green procurement rate in 2023 was 98.50%.

-S- Social Aspect-

  •  We organized a total of 125 public welfare activities such as educational and cultural events and activities for the benefits of the elderly, the weak, and those with disabilities. The amount of subsidy totaled NTD 7.123 million.
  •  100% of TSC's food products are included in our own Food Safety & Traceability Management System (FT).
  •  The score of customer satisfaction survey in 2023 was 96.69 points, a 0.84 points increase compared with 2022.
  •  The average training hours were 48.75 hours, and the staff training expenses totaled NTD 41.55 million.
  •  TSC’s total reading certified hours was 12,672 hours.

-G- Governance Aspect-

  •  The average attendance rate of directors in the board meetings was 99.29%; the 3 functional committees under the board convened 41 meetings, and the results of the performance evaluation all reached “Excellent.”
  •  The Board of Directors reviewed a total of 219 cases, including 146 cases related to policies, economics, environment, and social issues.
  •  A total of 16 sessions of anti-corruption briefings, 29 sessions of anticorruption training and advocacy exercises were organized in 2023, with 4,065 employees participating.
  •  In the handling of various types of procurement tenders, 100% of the business partners have been notified of anti-corruption policies. 
  •  A total of 68 labor-management meetings were held in 2023. 
  •  In the board of directors of TSC, there are 5 female directors, accounting for more than one-third of the total board seats.
