Food safety guaranteed at TSC- Two more food items certified with Clean Label 100% Additive Free
Taisugar’s Roasted Eel with Black Garlic and Taisugar Tuna with Sweet Corn passed the Clean Label and 100% additive-free verification. Over the years, TSC has spared no efforts in establishing a strong TSC food safety network to carry out our commitment of “Food safety guaranteed at TSC.” Food produced under the Clean Label standards allows the public to not only taste delicious food but also avoid the burden of food additives.
Clean Label and 100% additive-free verification is a set of standards provided by the China Grain Products Research & Development Institute for processors to follow when producing products. Products can be classified into “100% Additive-Free,” “Clean” (Double Clean), and “Clean,” with the “100% Additive-Free” specification being the most stringent. Clean Label and 100% additive-free verification aims to reduce the information asymmetry between the consumers and the manufacturers through a strict certification process, allowing manufacturers to participate in the certification process to optimize their products to improve food safety and quality. Therefore, products with the “100% Additive-Free” certification must contain no food additives announced by the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Roasted Eel with Black Garlic is guaranteed to be free of preservatives and any food additives. In terms of the ingredient selection, TSC insists on using raw material of black garlic made from local fresh garlic in Taiwan, which has high health and nutritional value. The raw material of eels has been inspected by SGS Taiwan as the third-party notary unit to ensure that there are no radioactive residues (iodine 131, cesium 134, cesium 137). Taisugar Tuna with Sweet Corn has also become the first corn tuna product in Taiwan meeting the Clean Label (Double Clean) and 100% additive-free verification. We use non-genetically modified Taiwanese sugar corn kernels as raw materials, and insist on using 100% tuna and bonito fish meat, without adding any non-tuna and bonito fish meat. These two products were lunched on the Ghost Festival in 2023, hoping to provide our consumers with a variety of choices while ensuring that they can eat with peace of mind.
