TSC has no foreign employees and part-time employees. We hire (employ) employees based on professional competence and experience, and all the employees are protected by the Labor Standards Act. The ratio of male to female employees is approximately 4.11:1. However, there is no differential treatment or discrimination in terms of employment, salary, performance appraisal and promotion due to gender or marriage status. The proportion of female managers in TSC increased from 6.2% to 6.9% over the three years (having reached the target set by MOEA). Job promotions or job transfers in each unit are subject to change. However, due to the unique nature of the Company’s industry, the ratio of female employees in early days was rather low. As the Company diversifies its operations toward the service sector, the proportion of female employees has gradually increased. Nevertheless, adequate work experience and training are still required to qualify for managerial positions.
TSC primarily operates in the agriculture and animal husbandry industry, with a majority of employees being males. Male employees account for 80.43% while female employees account for 19.57% of all employees. A joint examination is established based on medium and long-term manpower planning and the manpower needs of the respective units to recruit new employees, those who are enrolled will be assigned to the units in need of manpower for adequate jobs.
Looking at the distribution of age and gender among the employees, the total number of females have increased by 4.95% compared to 2022, showing that the manpower structure in the Company is now being adjusted. In 2023, the non-employee workers were all contracted labor (including laborers stationed overseas), and the total number amounted to 2,204, which showed no significant fluctuation compared to the previous year (2,938 people).
