While promoting sustainable tourism, Taiwan Sugar Corporation also actively utilizes its operating conditions and core capabilities to engage with the community and jointly promote social harmony.

　　Jianshanpi was originally a reservoir that was built to ensure water source for sugar factory production and farmland irrigation. As the domestic sugar industry shrank, it was transformed into a leisure resort and practiced the spirit of sustainable tourism. Without compromising the natural environment, cultural heritage and social structure, it achieved a balance between the economic, social and environmental benefits of tourism, including the protection of the local ecological environment, respect and support for local culture, and participation and contribution to the local community. With the efforts of actively developing healthy eco-tourism, promoting no-trace meetings and ecological education, and obtaining environmental education facilities and environmentally friendly hotel certification, Taisugar Liuying Jianshanpi Resort won the first Taiwan Tourism Golden Tourism Award in 2024 and was the only tourism and amusement industry group to be commended.

　　TSC continues to implement ecological restoration in the Jianshanpi Park. Regular environmental education courses include Honey-Seeking Scientists, Wild Vision and other certified environmental education courses. In addition, theme seasonal activities are planned, such as Insect Adventure King Parent-Child Camp, Reservoir Reality Puzzle, Moonlight Frogs and Fireflies, and Rhinoceros Beetle Kid's Fun Fest. In 2024, we promoted ecological experience for local children, organized 4 sessions of "Rhinoceros Beetle Little Warriors" for kindergartens, with 163 participants. We also organized 6 sessions of "Ecological Explorer Workshops" with the nearby l Xinshan Elementary School. In response to the annual "2024 Xilaya Fun Speeding" event hosted by the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters, we formed the "Dream Butterfly Flying Team" with the local Xinshan Elementary School. Through the co-creation of racers with recycled materials workshop, we made use of iron parts and recycled plastic bottles, cartons and other materials to create a gorgeous butterfly-shaped racer, so that children can experience the fun and creativity of the activity while deepening their understanding of the structure, characteristics and ecology of butterflies.

　　In recent years, Evergreen Plaza Hotel has been committed to green procurement, green marketing, and advocacy to reduce the use of disposable amenities. It not only promotes local concepts such as "green tourism", "Green Mark Hotels" and "green restaurants", but also actively participates in environmental education. It cooperates with the surrounding Barclay Park Sustainable Management Association to promote the "Walk to Barclay " environmental ecology education courses and activities, inviting tourists to Tainan to explore the Barkley Memorial Park — a micro-ecological oasis that serves as a green sanctuary within the city. This park plays a vital role in preserving the cultural and historical legacy of Tainan, promoting sustainable urban development, and contributing to global ecological conservation efforts. Through immersive, on-site experiences, travelers can witness how green tourism is seamlessly integrated into everyday travel. These encounters offer valuable insights and inspire the development of environmentally and socially responsible travel practices that align with the principles of sustainability.

　　Every year, we continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility through the hotel's platform, including the Wednesday Charity Day event at Taitang Eat the World Buffet Restaurant, inviting guests to make a small donation of NTD 50 to enjoy a 30% off + 10% discount on dining, and to spread happiness and do charity with Evergreen Plaza Hotel; in 2024, we were fortunate to invite the Chang Rongfa Charity Foundation to respond to support and donate funds to Tobias Social Welfare Foundation through the Evergreen Plaza Hotel platform, so that more people will have the opportunity to recognize and help the needs of early treatment cases and mentally impaired elderly people in the society, thereby serving as a catalyst to inspire greater public awareness and compassion for the underprivileged. Other charitable deeds include the Micro Social Welfare Happy Social Worker Day, the year-end charity gathering, and the voting and donation activities for the charity painting exhibition on the 2nd floor of the hotel, as well as the holding of many charity lectures and the "Return to the Sugarcane Field" Happy Charity Market, which embodies the local neighborliness and the practice of social charity care.
