TSC Safety Pork, Food Safety Assurance

The first case of African swine fever discovered in Taiwan in October 2025 was caused by pig farmers using improperly treated kitchen waste as feed. Fortunately, thanks to the central government's command and the collective efforts of the entire population, the epidemic was brought under control and did not spread. The feed used by the pig farms under the Livestock Business Division is produced and supplied by two automated feed mills, Xinying Feed Mill and Xiaogang Feed Mill. Adhering to the principle of zero drug contamination, the Company prohibits the use of sulfonamides and Beta-agonists (ractopamine), and adopts non-pharmaceutical alternatives to improve animal health. TSC has also obtained ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 22000 food safety management certifications, which not only reduces food safety risks but also aligns with our corporate goal of sustainable management.

The quality of feed directly affects animal growth, reproduction, and meat quality. To ensure the safety of animal-derived foods, Taiwan Sugar Corporation has established a feed testing laboratory, which has obtained testing laboratory certification from the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF). The laboratory independently conducts testing on three main aspects: nutritional components, animal drug residues, and mycotoxins, ensuring that the produced feed meets standards.

Every piece of TSC Safety Pork is the result of TSC’s accumulation of numerous detailed efforts. Through green feed policy, self-inspection, and full industry chain management, from rigorous raw material selection, drug residue monitoring, process management, and quality sampling, to obtaining ISO 22000, CAS, and Food Traceability certifications, and further to the digital traceability system after shipment, we safeguard consumers' health and trust with uncompromising standards.
